Book Clubs

Unbroken was written to be read slowly—and, when possible, in community.

While you may find parts of this book deeply personal, the experience of reading it brings up questions, memories, and insights that may be easier to hold alongside others. Whether you’re part of a formal book club, a women’s circle, a support group, or simply reading with a few trusted people, this space is here to support meaningful, compassionate conversation.

There is no “right” way to read this book. There is only your way.

Discussion Guide

You do not need professional training to host a conversation around Unbroken. Curiosity, care, and respect are more than enough. To support thoughtful conversation, I’ve created a downloadable Book Club Discussion Guide that includes:

  • Reflection questions organized by theme

  • Optional journaling prompts

  • Gentle pacing suggestions

  • Trauma-informed facilitation guidance

The guide is intentionally flexible. You are encouraged to choose what resonates, skip what doesn’t, and adapt it to your group’s needs.

Stay Connected

If your group would like to stay connected—receive occasional reflections, updates, or future discussion resources—you’re welcome to sign up for book club updates below.

Sharing your experience publicly is always optional. Private reading is just as meaningful.

Author Participation

I join book clubs and community groups for virtual conversations when scheduling allows. These visits are conversational and reflective—not instructional or clinical.

If you’re interested in requesting a virtual visit or event, please use the contact form. Availability is limited, and I appreciate your understanding.
